THE EFORT ANNUAL CONGRESS LISBON 2022 SCIENTIFIC AWARDS
A congress is always as good as its presentations are. In this regard the EFORT congress can ever rely on the experts all over Europe and even worldwide.
The EFORT Congress Scientific Awards are selected among the many high-quality abstracts submitted to the congress. Following the completion of the abstract review process, authors with the highest scores will be informed by the EFORT Head Office about further needs to compete for the different EFORT Awards available.
EFORT Free Paper Awards
The 40 best-rated accepted Free Papers, 20 each in orthopaedics and trauma, will be given the option of competing for the EFORT Free Paper Awards. Among all submitted presentations, the EFORT Award Committee will choose three winners in each of the two categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze who will receive a financial reward.
EFORT Jacques Duparc Awards
The 30 best-rated accepted Posters (all categories combined) will be given the option to compete for an EFORT Jacques Duparc Awards. Among all submitted presentations, the EFORT Award Committee will choose ten winners who will receive a financial reward and a special certificate to acknowledge their work.
EFORT Michael Freeman Award
On top of the traditional Free Paper and Jacques Duparc (poster) Awards, EFORT introduced the Michael Freeman Award in memory of Professor Michael Freeman, one of the founding fathers of EFORT and EFORT President 1994 to 1995. This Award honours each year his lifetime contribution to both the European and the International Orthopaedic Community. The award is handed out for excellence within the Knee Biomechanics topic and kindly supported by Medacta International SA.
