The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery (Bone & Joint) was established with the object of: 'The advancement and improvement of education in orthopaedic surgery and allied branches of surgery and the diffusion of knowledge of new and improved methods of teaching and practising orthopaedic surgery in all its branches'.

Our main activity is the publication of The Bone & Joint Journal, the #1 General Orthopaedic Journal in Web of Science with IF 4.9, as well as publishing Bone & Joint 360, a bi-monthly digest journal publishing expert summaries of global orthopaedic activity, as well as open access journals, Bone & Joint Research and Bone & Joint Open.

Our digital products have also been designed to support orthopaedic careers. OrthoMedia offers on-demand videos for orthopaedic knowledge and surgical training; OrthoSearch is the ultimate search engine for orthopaedics, and the brand-new OrthoPublish, an innovative formatting tool that helps get manuscripts ready for submission.

As part of our charitable remit, we support several orthopaedic fellowships with financial donations. These include the ABC fellowship, the Mark Paterson Travelling Fellowship (an initiative with EFORT), and the British Orthopaedic Research Society/Bone & Joint Research Fellowship.
