CME ACCREDITATION AT THE EFORT ANNUAL CONGRESS LYON 2025
The 26th EFORT Congress 2025 in Lyon, France, has been granted for a maximum of 17 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME credit system is based on 0,5 ECMEC® for 30 minutes of CME with a maximum of 6 ECMECs for a full-day attendance to the EFORT Congress 2025.
The EACCME® credit system for the 26th EFORT congress is based as following:
- Wednesday 11 June 2025 > Max. of 5 credits
- Thursday 12 June 2025 > Max. of 6 credits
- Friday 13 June 2025 > Max. of 6 credits
The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 0,5 ECMEC® for 30 minutes of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day. cf. Chapter XIII of UEMS 2023.07.
Regulations require scanning in and out of each session to collect the total amount of hours the medical specialist attended into the scientific programme as part of the educational activity of the congress.
NOTE: Industry-Sponsored Symposia Sessions, Posters and Poster Walks are not subject to CME accreditation and therefore do not count in the total of hours spent in the educational activity.

- Scan your badge while entering the congress venue each day. No need to do it at each session room.
- Do not forget to fill in the survey feedback for the attended sessions, is mandatory to get the CME accreditation.
HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR CME CERTIFICATE (after the congress)
To ensure you receive your CME Certificate with the correct amount of points for your participation at the EFORT Congress, please follow this essential process:
Daily Congress Badge Scanning for Attendance
Scan In Upon Arrival
It is mandatory to scan your congress badge each day when you arrive at the venue. This "scan in" process is crucial for accurately tracking your attendance and calculating your CME credits.
No Scan Out Required! You do not need to scan your badge when leaving the congress each day.
Receiving and Downloading Your Certificate
- Personalised Email Notification: After the congress concludes, you will receive a personal email containing a unique URL. This email will be sent to the address used for your congress registration.
- Access Attended Sessions: Clicking on your personal URL will direct you to a secure portal where you can select and evaluate the specific sessions you attended based on your daily badge scans.
- Complete Session Review: To finalize the process, you will be prompted to complete a brief review for the sessions you attended.
- Download Your Certificate: Once you have submitted your review, your personalised CME Certificate, reflecting the accurate number of CME points earned, will be sent to you by email.
Important: Please ensure your badge is scanned daily upon entry to guarantee accurate CME point allocation. If you have any questions regarding the CME certificate process, please visit the registration desk during the congress.
